Classroom Annoucements:

  • This grading period, in an effort to improve attendance, all teachers will reward students who come to school by offering exemptions from semester exams to those students who meet the following criteria:
    • 0 absences: automatic exemption
    • 1 absence:  70 average or better
    • 2 absences:  80 average or better
    • 3 absences:  90 average or better.
  • So get to school daily and you may choose to be exempt from taking any or all of your semester exams.
  • This incentive is sponsored by StuCo.
  • The mighty, fighting Vaqueros and Lady Vaqueros Basketball teams appreciate your support at the games.  Come show your school spirit by backing the Vaqueros!
  • The school's new attendance procedures have been published.  You can obtain your own copy at the principal's office.  You can also acces the same information online at the school's website in the section called SCHOOL RESOURCES and PUBLICATIONShttp://sandiego.tx.sdh.schoolinsites.com/

  • Sign up today to donate blood when the BloodMobile visits on the 12th of January.  Earn an ASSIGNMENT PASS for your donation as well as for any community members that donate blood in your name! Ask me for more details in class.
  • Bring your grammar workbook to class daily.  We will not be using it daily, but you should be prepared when we need it.
  • If you find yourself getting left behind in your class assignments, talk to me early in the six weeks so that we can make arrangements to get you caught up.  We can't do much at the end of the grading period.
  • All of the assignments for the class can be found listed on the calendar of the blog site and on this WIKI workspace as well in the Classroom Calendars page.
  • Many of the assignments for class will be done online.  Make sure that you understand the technology so that you can complete your task.  Make arrangements with me if you need more help or practice.  Also, for anyone without internet access at home, make arrangements to stay afterschool to work on your multimedia assignments.
